The Amalthea Vase is handmade by shaping paper mache clay over a variety of recycled items. While very lightweight, the material is sturdy and hard. It is finished with fun bright pink paint and then sanded down to create the granite-like texture of the surface. It is sealed with acrylic matte medium.

This vase is a wonderful bright accent piece and looks great with some dried flowers or even just a few twigs. While it is sealed, this item is not waterproof, so is not suitable to hold water or live flowers, and is not food grade.
