The design of this gorgeous charcuterie board is as simple as it gets, allowing the wood itself to have center stage. Spalting is an initial stage of decay of the wood. it is invaded by various colonies of fungi, which battle each other to establish borders between their territories. These borders show up as a beautiful abstract pattern of thin black lines all over the wood. It Is finished with food grade oil and a few layers of wax.
